2002 was the release of two Canada Dry sponsored cars, with the TR28E recreating the car driven by Peter Janson and Larry Perkins that finished third in 1977 behind the infamous XC Falcon 1-2 'form finish'. The height of the bonnet scoop was marginally lowered from this model onwards.
