The Sandman 'lfestyle' was further captured with the 1997 release of the Sandman 21st Anniversary Twin Set, comprising a van in Caribbean Turquoise and utility in Aztec Silver. The imagery was enhanced by special packaging.

Fitted as standard with a 4.2 litre V8 motor, power steering, bucket seats and striking colours, the 'Sandman' was a class act. Offered as either a van or utility, it was quickly accepted by the young and young at heart.
The 'Sandman' was among the first of the Recreational Vehicles that fitted the Australian lifestyle. Many were re-decorated in colours and graphics that shouted Freedom and Adventure.
Out of the cities, the utes were seen with long surfboards or perhaps a trail bike fitted in the back. The vans provided a way to sleep out and catch the wonder of an early morning wave on the distant beach. Vans were renowned for their coming bumper and window stickers such as Sin Bin - Don't bother knockin' if this van's rockin' or Don't laugh Mother - your daughter may be in here!
