In 1978, Ford released the special edition XC Cobra Option 97.
Also called the 'Bathurst Cobra', it was fitted with parts to allow homologation for racing. Only 30 were made, and they were distinguished by a large reopening bonnet bulge. Thanks to his powerful V-8 engine and light body, it was capable of reaching speeds over 200 km/h.
Today, the Bathurst Cobra is highly sought after by collectors and Ford enthusiasts alike.
