Historical Significance
The Jaguar D-Type #3, chassis XKD606, was the last long-nose works car built and delivered to Ecurie Ecosse in late 1956. Despite Jaguar’s official withdrawal from motorsport, the team won Le Mans in 1957, with D-Types taking five of the top six positions—a dominant performance that marked the high point of the model’s racing career.
