The Sandown 500 ‘Retro Round’ has fast become one of the most popular racing events in the Supercars Championship. In 2017 The #9 Holden VF Commodore, with Co-drivers David Reynolds and Luke Youlden changed its familiar black and yellow colours for a red, white and blue livery as a tribute to Peter and Phil Brock winning the 1976 Sandown event in a Holden L34 Torana. Reynolds won Saturday morning’s qualifying session, the first time with Erebus. Even with the strong Saturday performances the 2017 chapter of the Sandown 500 saw Erebus finish 17th. Never the less history will show that Sandown was a great warm up for the team leading into the Bathurst 1000 and the retro livery was an absolute standout.
