The Ford XK Panel Van was released May 1961. The Xk's reputation for ruggedness and Practicality was soon established after its release. Unlike most panels the XK roofline was at the same height as the sedan.

Given the era of this model and the lack of collector interest to date in the XK van, it was concluded in the 2001 release of the Oil Series as TR27C. The attractive decoration of Kangaroo Petroleum of Victoria graced this model, yet it failed to generate collector appeal, was the slowest seller by far in the series and thus confirmed earlier observations about the XK van. Perhaps the decision to combine this model with the lesser-known 'Kangaroo' livery was a contributing factor but it is nevertheless a worthy piece of our motoring heritage.
