"Australia's Own", the 48/215, later commonly called the FX, was Australia's first mass produced car. Its size, comfort and smooth 2.15 litre six cylinder engine ensured an early waiting list of buyers. With the introduction of the Australian Touring Car series in 1960, Wingham Holden Dealer Des West took a stock standard car and turned it into an Appendix J compliant race car that remains the last known surviving car of the original Touring Car series to this day.
