With Its Radical styling for the time of the HQ series became instantly recognisable when it was first released in July 1971. The Kingswood quickly became the choice for the family man that could seat six in bench seat comfort. This Trax edition showcases the 253 engine option.

Six months after the Premier models' introduction came two Kingswood versions. TO03C was painted Salamanca Red with a black interior; TO03D in Royal Purple with its bench seats in Flax and Black. These models again displayed V8 engines and accurate V8 badges on the boot lid. Like the Premier, the design included a radio in the dash and aerial on the left front mudguard. TO03C is a limited edition of 2,600 pieces.
